Welcome to the website of the State Auditor.  As you browse our website, please let us know if you have any questions that cannot be answered through our various links.  Check back often as we will be adding a quarterly newsletter in the near future.  In an effect to improve openness and communication from this office, I welcome your suggestions or comments.

 It is a privilege to serve the great State of Alabama as your State Auditor.  I believe in honest, open government by the people, and for the people.  I have a staff of dedicated individuals who work hard each day to improve the efficiency with which we operate while doing so in the most cost effective manner. 

Our goal is to provide accountability to the taxpayers of Alabama by maintaining accurate records of all personal property valued at $500 and above as well as items deemed sensitive in nature.  As well, the State Auditor's Office is the only check and balance between the Comptroller's Office and the State Treasury.  I take these great responsibilities seriously, and I intend to uphold the duties of the Office of State Auditor as outlined in the Code of Alabama.
